Our Group
World Scouting
Over 100 years ago, Lord Baden-Powell started Scouting in England with just 22 members. Today, over 30 million youth and adults from virtually every country and culture throughout the world have pledged to live by Lord Baden-Powell’s values: Be kind. Do your best. Leave each place a little better than you found it. These worldwide members of Scouting are helping to create a better world.
Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and participating in experiences they wouldn't have elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world.
Scouting offers a world where you can discover the best in yourself and the best in others. Dollar for dollar, the Scouting programs provide significant value. Scouting programs run all year round, and offer diverse learning experiences and adventures that youth will remember for a lifetime!
6th Roberts Creek Scout Group
The 6th Roberts Creek Scout Group is a part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) within the Pacific Coast Council of Scouts Canada. Our Group holds its weekly meetings at Camp Byng located on the Sunshine Coast in Roberts Creek, BC. Our membership includes youth and adults from throughout the Sunshine Coast from Madeira Park to Gibsons.
We follow the Scouts Canada Canadian Path program, a youth-led and youth-run program of activities and adventures. This program builds leaders and prepares Canada’s young people for future success, and empowers the youth to take on challenges that help develop their abilities to think critically, to plan, to innovate and; to use information in an original way.
We have a knowledgeable team of adult Scouters (Leaders) to deliver our programs.
Take a look at the PROGRAMS page and MEMBERS page of this website to gain a better understanding of what we do.
